Surprise visits and impromptu performances have, by now, become a signature element of the recurring four-day festival. One of last year’s highlights is undoubtedly the last minute guest performance by Groupe Amazigh Blues. The five-headed band drove 8 hours through the desert and Atlas mountains to share with us their unique sound.
A packed Red Light Radio stage and a crowd of over 10 nationalities singing along – an unforgettable memory. It’s safe to say, the meaning of rivers and flowers had forever changed after that unforeseen Saturday night.
This summer the Sahara band finds its way back to the ecolodge for a live show during the Opening Concert on Thursday, August 30 2018. Alongside yet to be announced cross-over performances, they will kick off a weekend full of transboundary acts.
